OPEN BOOK ACCOUNTING

RW Allen Construction has always operated its projects with an “Open Book Accounting” approach, encouraging owners to review any accounting information associated with their projects. Our accounting staff and project administrators work together to monitor job costs using Timberline Software, a leading accounting system in our industry. This system interfaces payroll and labor costing, accounts payable, estimating and general ledger. At any point during the course of construction, RW Allen Construction can provide, upon a client’s request, customized accounting reports such as cost projections, cash flow, and financial planning summaries.

ESTIMATING PROCESS

Our preconstruction team utilizes the same process through several stages of the project. The stages are 1) Concept Estimate; 2) Schematic Estimate; 3) Design / Development Estimate; 4) Preconstruction Estimate; and 5) Construction Estimate. Estimating at each stage of the process allows the Team to continually hone cost and refine the process throughout the stages of preconstruction. BIM collaboration software for combining and sharing models, checking for conflicts, and communicating reviews via online notes.

DJI

PHANTOM 3 Professional Drone
Used on all of our job sites for the visual documentation of the project from all angles and across every stage of construction. The footage is made accessible to the owner via a private link.

AUTODESK REVIT

BIM software with parametric modeling, bidirectional associativity, and used to view and manage architectural design, MEP and structural engineering, and construction.

NAVISWORKS

Software for simulation, analysis, and used to holistically review integrated models and data with stakeholders.

Software we use for accounting and estimating procedures that offers detailed and conceptual takeoff solutions.

Software used by the project team to share markups, issues, progress reports, etc. in real-time.
