The Columbia County Central Health Center was one part of a two-part project, which included an adjacent 14,000 square-foot Animal Services Facility. The project was initially over budget, but through creative cost savings alternatives offered by R. W. Allen, the construction costs were reduced, allowing the
project to move forward. The new facility is comprised of conventional foundations, masonry exterior walls, wood-framed roof structure, with a shingle roof. The new building houses clinical exam rooms, offices, educational spaces and a community hall.
