This job done for the Augusta University Medical Center called for the conversion of an existing waiting area into an outpatient Children’s Research Unit. This project required our team to work around immuno-suppressed and post-op pediatric patients with minimal disruption and be particularly sensitive to the patients’ needs. Construction comprised of the addition of two exam rooms, lab space, consultation and a waiting/reception area, and bathrooms. The fourth floor was renovated into an interior playground and an exhaust fan was installed on the roof. The project required heavy architectural and MEP demo with an additional 1300 sq. ft. of architectural finishes added in the adjacent corridor.
