The Athens Regional Medical Services Building consists of a four–story, 120,000 sq. ft. facility made up of office and administrative spaces, as well as medical lab, ambulatory surgery spaces and an oncology and cancer treatment space. The project presented numerous challenges because it is located within 10 feet of an adjacent, occupied structure. R. W. Allen was also asked to phase the project in order for the 2nd and 3rd floors to be occupied prior to completion of the remainder of the building.
