Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church

Augusta, Georgia

Project Description

R.W. Allen was engaged by the Trinity on the Hill Church building committee at the initial design phase. The team worked with the Architect and Engineers to develop a building program that would suit the space and budget requirements requested by the Church.

Trinity on the Hill included a complex multiphase construction schedule in order to minimize impact on the Owner’s daily administrative and childcare functions.

The highlight of the project was a complete gut and renovation of the existing Sanctuary along with the construction of a new 20,000 square foot two story education and administration building. Included in the renovation was the removal of the existing roof and structural modifications to the existing trusses in order to expose them and incorporate them into the design.

The sanctuary scope of work included heavy millwork throughout. Also included was a 45,000 square foot renovation of an existing classroom building built in 1940 and the addition of a 6,000 square foot youth building.
